A wile back i wrote a BTS post of Josefin (here) and now i'm finished with the results! I'm starting of with posting this HAFA of her. Check out what HAFA means here.
Now, you can see that the two different image evokes evokes different emotions. You can make on look young or old all depending on how you edit and how you "bend" the "truth". By adding some garin to the sepia picture you can get a more realistic look. And no, it's not a bit no-no to have a picture with noise.

Boyfriend and i went for a snack in Stockholm last year and here are the pictures. I know. Why post pictures from last year? Well, they make me happy and i look forward to the "real" summer. That's the only reason really. Also, look at the emotion and youthfulness the colors bring. This cafe was really hip and alot of young adults (like us) was sitting and having conversation at this cafe.

This little project here is in celebration of "real lips". Also, check out the soft glow i pulled out with photoshop! Woop!
So many girls wish that they had "big" lips. But the truth is that no one has "perfect" lips. Not even Angelina Jolie. Real lips look like raisins in a way and for most of the people i've come across the lips are dry. I would look cute in big lips but it would also be kinda unsymmetrical. In other words i really like my lips. ♥ Yes, i have small and pretty dry lips at times but it's what come out of them that matter. Not how they look. I hope that girls out there know that real lips don't look like they do when you have lipgloss on or when you've Photoshoped. Be proud of every part of you. Then when you are... you can update your look. But never make decisions wile in despair. That's what i tell myself when needed.

Cherry blossom are über popular to photograph during this time of year in Sweden. So to be a part of this culture and to feed my apatite for capturing beauty i've taken my own run at projecting their beauty the way i see it. I had a great time taking these pictures cause it was such a sunny and warm day. The bees was really close to me all the time and i don't have a fear of them so they tend to just let me be and work with me. Also, a man with a cute dog help be hold my reflector that i used to lit up the blossoms cause i was facing the sun to get the glow on the edges of the flowers and get the blue as background. Just to give them that extra soft and fun look. I was hoping for lens flair and with a bit of work i got it. Now this is something most photographer say is a bit no-no. But to emphasize the summer'ness of the cherryblossom this was a must for me. Woop Woop!
For me Cherry blossom stands for in-the-moment playfulness and feminine softness. So i wanted to give the pictures a really noticeable glow and sens of fun, cause when they do appear (for the short time that they do) they really are the stars that bring a message that real summer is just around the corner. It's so nice how people just appreciate cherry blossom cause they don't really do anything that benefits us in a primitive of modern society way (like many other things), so that also one of the tings that makes them so awesome for me personally. I really like seeing people just "bask" in the beauty of "what is". ♥ I'm a bit of a happiness-hoarder so i want these beautiful things to last longer. Good thing we have photography, right?!

Since we moved to a new city we got some free stuff sent to us. Well, coupons for free stuff if we pick them up. We enjoy driving to new places so that was like striking gold to us.

5 TIPS ON INCORPORATING HANDS IN PORTRAITS
I really love to focus on the face and specifically the eyes of people when i photograph them. A really nice way to enhance a face and give a element of direction/interest/character is the use of hands. Now, 90% of the people i've shot makes it look really uncomfortable when we incorporate their hands in their portrait. This applies to "normal" people that aren't use to being in front of the camera, cause models do it effortlessly! So, here is a few tips to make it look more natural, but have patience and know that some people just don't get it and pushing them will just be a waist of time. So incorporate it in every photo session, but don't make it the main focus of your shoot (if it's not intended of course). Rhetorical skills will improve your chances of getting it right, so learn how to direct people and talk. Be positive. Everyone that likes happy people are the people worth working with. The others are just really good lessons in making it work anyway! Here are the tips:
- Monkey see, monkey do - Show them how to do it by going the pose yourself. This is important if your a male taking pictures of a female cause (YES!) it's a bit like "see but not touch" scenario here. Be a PRO and ask her if it's okey to show her by touching her and directing that way, if she really struggles. Girls: well, we have it easy on this one right!
- Better with time - Looking relaxed is important so this will usually happen when the model have had his/her hand one one place for a wile and just gets tired. Also, you can return to a previous pose/placement of hand if the model starts to get it after doing other poses.
- You focus when they don't - Sometimes chatting general get-to-know things about them really helps people forget about the hands and that makes them look relaxed. So talk to them with the camera near your face but not in front of it so the model can look at your face wile your chatting and you can catch the moment their hand gets relaxed. Shoot when they least expect it. Mohahaha!
- Emphasize them and their beauty - Hands do direct a viewers eye to the area where they are placed. So if a person has really nice eyes put the hand near them, nice lips the put them there and etc. or use both hands to frame the face. Now, beauty is not only "beauty" it's in the persons character to! So emphasize their character by the use of hands.
- Little goes a long way - Sometimes just lurking a hand into the shot gives the picture a humble feeling. It can do alot to the final outcome and the emotional respond toward the picture. And even if you just see a tiny part of hands & arms it do make a impact towards making the picture more logical or/and give a element of interest. Just running the hands trough the hair gives a more intimate outcome.
- EXTRA - Now, all of the tips above will be a piece of birthday cake if you know how to make your model feel comfy trough talking. Be secure and show your passion for what you do and it will not only make your "hand-pictures" look really awesome, but the rest of the shoot will be fun as well. Remember that you're creating together and it's never a one man show, even if the vision comes from one person. ♥
Ps. i would love to see your pictures so send me a link to your uploading place or send the pictures to oosnapnet(at)yahoo.se!
Also, if you have request of tutorials or questions you can add a comment or e-mail me. Have fun and shoot as many/much as you can! ♥

It's what the name states and i'll hope that it will inspire others to use this art form of photography and document moments of joy or create art that convey feelings of impact.
I got the inspo from all of my friends that come with all sorts of questions about photography. What to use, how to use and when etc. Also, i remember that it took me a long time to find & sort all the fun and inspiring info on stuff that was important to know. I hope i can narrow it down for ya'll so the practical part becomes more dominant and takes up most of the time in the process of becoming better. ♥

Juicy Jossiey! On the same day as we took the couples pictures of her boyfriend and her, we took these pictures. I like to edit different projects interchangeably cause it helps me see my retouching with a fresh eye everytime i return to the previous projects. That's how i work my magic with making it work and beyond! Now we spent about 2 hr at this location cause we did makeup, hair, styling and everything on location. So it took more time then our plan said it would, but happiness doesn't follow time cause when it flows... it flows. ♥

I've been passionately working on improving my retouching technique of skin. I want it to look retouched but still somewhat real. Fine tune my definition of my personal sweet spot when it comes to skin. So here i give you a portrait... of me. I look like someone stole my parking space cause my main focus was to get as much skin as possible to work with. I wanted it to look like i barely wore makeup, clean and fresh! I really like the outcome and by desaturating it a bit (right) it gave the picture some more drama. Cause let's face it... it's a bit bla just looking straight into the camera with no emotions. Also, i get to face my disslike of straight forward self portraits. Woop Woop! ♥

So, i've been away from the blog for about 2 days and it's cause i've been having alot of fun. To continue this fun i'll post this post! Yesterday i took some pictures of my personal Victoria secret model Josefin. We went to performance art school together and we still spend some time together when we can. I'm moving in a few days to another city so this was like a goodbye/see you later shoot. But, we went to a remote area in Skanstull and crawled under a fence and took these pics of her. As you guys can see she has a wicked body (hence i call her my personal VS-angel), and that's cause she's a dancer still. She goes to the Ballet academy of Stockholm and i know i'll miss her after i move. But i'll come back to visit. Back to the "now". Atm, i'm doing the post-production work and loving it. My love for art stretches wide and far. Not only do i photograph... i also draw, and Photoshop is my muse. Above you see a drawing that i made.
